camp regulations

Rules of Behaviour at Camp
For all Kimama camps, campers and parents accept upon themselves the Rules of Behavior at Camp along with the Terms of Registration and Cancellation Conditions as well as Rules to VIsit during camp as follows:

  • Injury or abuse, whether physical, emotional, sexual, social, or otherwise, by campers and/or staff and/or animals located on or near camp property, is absolutely forbidden.

  • Destruction or damage to nature, the environment, buildings, or equipment belonging to the camp or to any camper is absolutely forbidden. In particular, if a camper causes malicious destruction or damage to property, the camper’s parents and/or guardians will be responsible for compensation and/or indemnification to the camp for any damage caused which is not the result of ordinary and reasonable use of the property by the camper.

  • The camper will follow staff instructions at all times and will not behave in a way which requires supervision or monitoring over and above a reasonable level.

  • The camper and his/her parents commit to share with camp management all information about personal issues, health, behavior, and/or other information which could be relevant and/or could influence the camper’s behavior during the course of his/her stay at camp.

  • Use of any type of alcoholic beverage, cigarettes, recreational drugs, hookah (nargila or water pipe), vape and/or carrying out any illegal activity during the period of the camper’s stay is absolutely forbidden.

  • Use of cellular telephones during the stay at camp, including communication between campers and parents, must be done in accordance with camp procedures and at accepted times.

  • Parents and families of campers will be permitted to enter the camp grounds at times designated ahead of time and/or under special circumstances with the authorization of camp staff. Entrance to the camp grounds at any other time will be permitted only with authorization from camp management.

Medical Treatment
The camper’s parents hereby agree that camper will be provided with professional medical treatment outside of the campgrounds if, in the opinion of camp management, this is necessary to ensure the camper’s wellbeing. Urgent orthodontist, dentist, and eye treatment must be funded by camper’s parents and are not included in the insurance purchased for that specific camp.
Any camper with a disability and/or handicap and/or medical problem whatsoever must declare and present an authorization from a relevant physician attesting that the child may participate in camp activities. Failure to present a camper’s entire medical status will create an exclusion from general liability with respect to any unfortunate events that may occur as a consequence and/or in connection with that medical status and/or undeclared medical information and/or for which is not received the aforementioned physician’s authorization.
Please note that as part of camp, medical services will be provided in accordance with the circulated guidelines of the Director General of the Ministry of Education or similar government entities.

Medical Forms and Medication

Additionally, parents commit to inform camp management immediately about any treatment of this type which begins after registration and prior to the start of the camp session. If parents have failed to inform camp management about their child’s situation as detailed above, this may constitute a cause for removal from camp. If a child is removed from camp, as stated, no refund will be given.
Camper’s parents will ensure to fill out all forms and health declarations online and sign these electronically. Receiving this information is mandatory to maintain the camper’s good health and for the sake of providing suitable medical treatment as needed. Camper’s parents will ensure to transfer all medications the camper is taking to camp management, who will ensure that camper makes use of them according to instructions provided to camp management. All medications used by the camper must be recorded in detail on the medical form to be filled out for the camper.

For campers who are Israeli residents (see the following section for information pertaining to campers who are not Israeli residents): The child’s membership certificate in a Kupat Cholim (Israeli health care provider) must be given to camp staff on the first day of camp and will be retained in the camp clinic. If necessary, the camper will be referred for medical treatment to a hospital or outside clinic.
For clarification purposes, any medical expenses must be paid by the camper’s parents, and additionally, it is the parents’ responsibility to provide a Form 17 from the Kupat Cholim in which the child is a member for the purposes of payment.

Medical Treatment for Campers Who Are Not Israeli Residents
